Germantown Baseball Inc. (Baseball/Softball/Tball) Coaches Conduct and Ethics Policy

We appreciate your commitment and effort to our youth sports recreation program. This program would not be possible without your contribution. You have assumed the important responsibility of teaching and mentoring the young people of our community. Recognizing this, the Board of Directors of Germantown Baseball requests that all coaches read and sign this statement as a requirement to coach in our programs.  Thank You!

I Will – At all times conduct myself in a manner that serves as a positive role model, treating each coach, player, official, parent and administrator with respect and dignity.

Will – Protect the health and safety of all players in the league at all times and will use my good judgment to help make the experience for all players as positive as possible.

I Will – Cooperate with the administrators of your league in the enforcement of the sport’s rules and regulations and in the initiatives designed to increase the enjoyment of the sport by all players.

I Will – Plan all games and practices so that all players have an equal opportunity to improve their skill level through active participation.

I Will – Report to the administrators any situation that I observe which are detrimental to the goals set forth in this policy.

I Will - Learn the strengths and weaknesses of my players and place them in situations in which they will have fun and learn the fundamentals of the sport I am coaching. My emphasis will be on fun, participation and skill development and secondarily on winning.

Germantown’s objective as stated in their Bylaws -- The objective of Germantown Baseball Inc. shall be to implant firmly in the boys and girls of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect, so that they may be finer, stronger, happier boys and girls, and will grow to be good, clean-living and healthy citizens. The objectives will be achieved by providing supervised (competitive) athletic games. THE SUPERVISORS SHALL BEAR IN MIND THAT MOLDING THE CHARACTER OF FUTURE CITIZENS IS OF PRIME IMPORTANCE and the attainment of exceptional athletic skill or winning of games is secondary.

I understand that violating this Code and Ethics Policy may result in my being immediately removed as a coach from this league and will be precluded from coaching in the future at Germantown Baseball Inc.
